U.S. states keep advancing AI rules

Although the federal government is seeking a more unified national framework, a growing number of U.S. states continue to advance legislation covering chatbots, youth protection, algorithmic accountability, employment decisions and data security. The result may be a patchwork of federal, state and industry rules, increasing both regulatory complexity and compliance costs for AI companies.
