Meta plans to sell excess AI compute as cloud service

Bloomberg reported that Meta is developing a cloud business to sell excess AI computing capacity, potentially opening its models and infrastructure to developers. With AI infrastructure spending expected to reach as high as $145 billion this year, selling compute is one way to ease return-on-investment pressure.
