UN experts warn AI is moving faster than regulation and scientific understanding

A UN independent scientific panel warned that AI capability is advancing faster than scientific understanding and policy adaptation. The report flagged misuse, deception, loss of control, cyberattacks, bio risks and mass disinformation, and said task complexity may be doubling every four to seven months.
