Germany records about 5,120 heat-related deaths as Western Europe logs its hottest June

Germany's Robert Koch Institute estimates around 5,120 heat-related deaths this year, mostly during the late-June heatwave and mainly among the elderly. Copernicus said Western Europe had its hottest June on record.
