Meta plans to produce its Iris AI chip in September

Reuters reported that Meta plans to begin manufacturing its first in-house AI chip, Iris, in September and aims to double computing capacity from 7GW to 14GW by 2027. AI competition is now chips, data centers, energy and capex, not just model quality.
