More than 200 experts call for immediate preparation for an AI economic transition

More than 200 economists and researchers, including 15 Nobel laureates and people from OpenAI, Anthropic and Google, signed a statement urging governments to prepare now for AI-driven economic disruption. They warned that changes to jobs, wealth distribution and public institutions could arrive much faster than during the Industrial Revolution.
