The United States moves to expand an AI power-bill protection pledge

The White House plans to bring together utilities, data-centre developers and local governments to prevent rapid AI infrastructure growth from raising household and small-business power bills. Major technology companies have pledged to cover the generation, grid upgrades and reserved capacity required by their data centres.
