Typhoon Bavi's residual moisture triggers severe flooding across northern China

Flooding hit Hebei, Liaoning and other northern regions, with water more than two metres deep on some roads in Kuancheng and about 1,800 villagers temporarily stranded. Rail services were suspended around Shenyang and schools closed in parts of Jilin. Authorities said 46 rivers nationwide had exceeded warning levels.
