Google DeepMind’s chief proposes a global testing body for frontier models

Google DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis proposed a U.S.-led international body to test the most advanced AI models before deployment, examining cybersecurity, biological and other national-security risks. The industry-funded, government-overseen body could recommend delaying a release or coordinating a slowdown when serious dangers emerge.
