Apple Intelligence completes China’s generative-AI service registration

China’s cyberspace regulator listed seven on-device generative-AI services that have completed registration, including Apple Intelligence. The filing clears a major regulatory step toward a mainland China launch, although neither regulators nor Apple announced a release date. Apple has worked with Baidu and Alibaba, with Alibaba’s Qwen model involved in local adaptation for Apple devices.
