Keir Starmer completes his final Prime Minister’s Questions before Andy Burnham takes over next week

Keir Starmer appeared at his final Prime Minister’s Questions and said his political journey had ended. He is due to leave office on Monday, although he plans to remain in Parliament as a backbench member. Andy Burnham has emerged as Labour’s sole successor. His government will inherit weak growth, strained public services, cost-of-living pressure and limited fiscal space.
