The United States is reportedly preparing a 25% tariff on more than 4,000 Brazilian products
According to people familiar with the plans, Washington is preparing a 25% tariff on more than 4,000 Brazilian products covering roughly $15 billion in annual exports. Pig iron, ethanol, tobacco and sugar would be affected, while beef, coffee and some aircraft components are expected to remain exempt. Brazil rejects the U.S. allegations and may retaliate.
