Mount Olympus and the D-Day beaches join the World Heritage List

UNESCO's World Heritage Committee added Greece's Mount Olympus and France's D-Day landing beaches to the list. Olympus was recognized for both natural and cultural value after a 12-year Greek campaign, while the historic beaches entered a long-term protection framework.
