India's DGFT operationalized an inventory-based cross-border e-commerce export framework that defines Seller-on-Record and Exporter-on-Record duties

The framework lets exporters aggregate inventory from Indian sellers for cross-border orders, while requiring confirmed export orders, origin records, seller-attributable benefits and safeguards against diversion into the domestic market. Sellers should align product, order, payment and customs roles before dispatch.
