The 2026 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup opens in Berlin on September 4 with an expanded field of 16 teams

The tournament runs from September 4 to 13 in Berlin, Germany, with the field expanded from 12 teams to 16. Sports organizers, sponsors and media must coordinate a dense schedule, live experience, cross-time-zone distribution, brand safety and athlete load so broader participation becomes broader reach.
