The European Commission said VAT declared through OSS and IOSS grew 17% in 2025 and registrations exceeded 193,000. Broader use makes tax data more comparable and traceable. Sellers should audit destination country, value, platform role, returns and invoice trails instead of mistaking simpler filing for lighter compliance.
