EU customs reform makes non-EU platforms the importer

The EU Council approved its customs reform position on September 3. Non-EU platforms will carry importer responsibility; serious breaches may draw fines up to 6% of prior-year import value, and a small-parcel handling fee is planned by November 1. Operators should recalculate landed cost and product compliance.
