IRIS reconstructs cellular signalling history from gene activity

A Whitehead Institute team reports in Nature Methods that IRIS recognizes gene-activity fingerprints left by signalling pathways and infers prior signals across cell types. Tests in mouse embryos and lung-cell development confirmed part of its predictions, pointing toward better organoid and regenerative-medicine research.
