Chandra discovers a mysterious new class of X-ray objects

NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory has found a class of objects in other galaxies behaving unlike anything seen before. Researchers say the anomalies may help solve two long-standing questions, another reminder that breakthroughs often begin with data that does not fit the old categories.
