The EU rewrites responsibility for low-value parcels

The new EU customs framework treats non-EU e-commerce platforms selling to EU consumers as importers responsible for declarations, duties and product compliance. Serious breaches can draw fines of up to 6% of prior-year import value, while a small-parcel handling fee must begin by November 1.
