US small-business optimism slips to 98.7 in August
The NFIB Small Business Optimism Index fell 1.1 points to 98.7 in August, still above its 52-year average of 98.0, while expected real sales eased to a net 6%. For a one-person company, that favors protecting collection cycles, fixed costs and customer diversification before adding new commitments.
