The US confirms deployment of on-orbit space-control weapons

The US Air Force secretary says America has fielded on-orbit space-control weapons able to defend joint forces from hostile action, without disclosing their type or operation. Because communications, navigation, financial timing and weather services depend on satellites, continuity planning should include space-infrastructure disruption.
