Claude speeds up more than 30 biology models by roughly 4x on average

Anthropic says an internal general research model optimized more than 30 structure-prediction, protein-design and genomics models in under four weeks, averaging about a 4x speedup and nearly 2x with identical outputs. It is opening the code and launching a protein-design competition with up to $1 million in Claude credits and wet-lab validation for more than 5,000 designs.
