Only 36% of trackable SDG targets are on course or making moderate progress

At the 2026 SDG Moment, the UN said 36% of 139 targets with trend data are on track or making moderate progress, an improvement from last year but still too slow and uneven. It identified financing gaps, climate shocks, debt distress, conflict and inequality as major barriers and called for proven solutions and cross-sector investment at scale.
