Nearly one in four doctors could retire within a decade
WHO says the global health workforce now exceeds 70 million and density rose 52% from 2006 to 2025. Yet nearly one in four doctors is over 55, rising to almost one in three in high-income countries. The global shortfall may still reach 11.1 million by 2030, with 67 countries unable to meet population needs.
