BoltAI runs solo at about $15K in monthly revenue

Vietnamese indie developer Daniel Nguyen built BoltAI, a native Mac client that lets buyers connect their own AI-provider keys after purchasing a software license. In a founder interview, he says the product launched in May 2023, serves more than 7,000 customers, has shipped over 100 updates and generates about $15,000 a month. Early acquisition came from building in public on X, indie communities and word of mouth. The figures are founder-reported and dated; one-off sales fluctuate, while solo support and platform dependence remain constraints.
