Passenger lifts international sales from under 1% to 40% of its mix
UK outdoor brand Passenger sells into markets including the United States and Germany. A Shopify case says GMV grew from about $500,000 to more than $100 million in four years and that international sales rose from under 1% to 40% of the mix within two years of adopting Markets. Brand content, market tests and added marketing in countries showing traction drive acquisition. One store keeps inventory, content and reporting unified while language, pricing, shipping and checkout adapt locally. Multi-Currency Payouts lets Passenger retain dollars and euros to pay global suppliers instead of converting sales to pounds and back again; the company buys tens of millions of pounds of product each year. FX, inventory, international logistics, returns and local fulfillment remain core costs. The vendor case does not disclose market-level margins, payback or return rates.
