Sao Tome and Principe holds three elections today

Sao Tome and Principe holds parliamentary, local and regional elections on September 27. The European Union Election Observation Mission has deployed roughly 50 observers, including a core analytical team plus long- and short-term observers, to cover the legal framework, preparations, voting procedures, political environment, traditional media and social media. The mission says its assessment will be long-term, objective and comprehensive, followed by a preliminary statement after voting. What can be confirmed today is the election schedule and observation capacity, not winners, seats or procedural quality. Early numbers circulating on social platforms should not be treated as final before official tabulation and independent assessment.
