Strikes close three Dnipro road bridges in Kyiv
The Associated Press reported on October 2 that Russian strikes forced full or partial closures of three of Kyiv's six road bridges, producing cross-river gridlock. Ukraine's foreign minister said the United States, India, Türkiye and Egypt had separately proposed a limited ceasefire covering attacks on energy infrastructure and Black Sea cargo shipping, including grain exports. Kyiv said it could accept energy and Black Sea pauses together, while Moscow continued to argue for a comprehensive peace agreement first. What is confirmed is a set of proposals and Ukraine's conditions, not an agreed ceasefire.
