Brazilian cross-border apparel case reaches R$32M annual GMV
An anonymous São Paulo cross-border apparel brand in an FFOrder case sells 1,200 active SKUs through Shopify, Mercado Livre, Amazon BR and Shopee BR and reports R$32 million in annual GMV. Previously, roughly 18% of inbound peak-season shipments were held by customs, the sample-to-live catalog cycle took 45 days, first Portuguese support reply averaged 14 hours and blended gross margin had compressed to 8%. After adding delivered-duty-paid routing, multiple logistics lanes, low-MOQ OEM, ODM and print-on-demand, plus Portuguese support, the catalog cycle fell to 21 days, customs holds stayed below 2%, 90-day repeat orders rose 47% on flat ad spend, average order value rose 32% and refunds fell to 3.5%. Profit comes from faster drops, fewer refunds and repeat demand. All figures are vendor-reported for an anonymous client, not independently audited, while inventory, duties, logistics and supplier quality remain key risks.
