SuitShop grows international orders 600%

US online formalwear brand SuitShop sells suits and tuxedos for less than traditional rental. A Shopify case study says international orders grew 600% and international conversion rose 32% after adopting Managed Markets. Previously about half of cross-border orders encountered delivery failure, return-to-sender or duties delays; the case says those delivery issues fell to zero after migration. The profit mechanism is keeping international demand instead of exiting because shipping loses money. Merchant of Record service handles duties, tax, customs paperwork and compliance, while daily warehouse pickup reduces manual work; one storefront and Shopify Checkout reduce purchase friction. The under-30-person company also uses Loop Returns and TryNow for returns and home try-on. These are platform-vendor figures and do not disclose international GMV, profit, return cost or service fees. Sizing returns, delivery time, tariff changes, local consumer rules and dependence on the platform still determine actual margin.
