OpenAI plans to acquire Pierre and bring code review and storage into Codex

OpenAI announced an agreement to acquire Pierre Computer Company, maker of Code Storage and the open-source Trees, Diffs and Highlights tools; Trees and Diffs already power file navigation and change review in Codex. OpenAI says the combined work will connect shipped code with the decisions made by people and agents, while Pierre's open-source projects remain open and Code Storage stays available to current customers. The deal is still subject to regulatory approval and no price was disclosed.
