Westin Trends lifts cross-border furniture margins by up to 10%

Furniture brand Westin Trends sells bulky products such as Adirondack chairs into the United States, where damage, import fees and delays had compressed profit. It adopted Walmart Cross Border: Imports to connect ports in China, India and Vietnam with WFS warehouses, customs, priority unloading, inventory, returns and customer service, and routed 80% of import volume through the system. Company-provided results say negotiated shipping rates lifted margins by up to 10%, cut post-arrival processing from as long as eight weeks to 10–12 days and enabled two-day delivery for more products. Bulky-item damage, platform concentration, inventory forecasting and volatile logistics costs remain the main risks.
