GPT-Rosalind begins commercial pricing today

OpenAI previously announced that GPT-Rosalind is available globally to eligible research organizations with governance and safety oversight, with published pricing taking effect on October 5. The series combines GPT-5.5's agentic coding and tool use with life-science work across medicinal chemistry, genomics and wet-lab troubleshooting. In OpenAI's evaluations, GPT-Rosalind scored 27.5% on MedChemBench versus 25.1% for GPT-5.5; on GeneBench it reached 21.6% versus 20.4% while using 31% fewer tokens. The real deployment threshold is not one score but whether controlled access, data security, experimental validation and accountability enter the same institutional workflow.
